You really can`t beat a bit of hard-as-nails techno. It`s a shame two-step, hard house and breakbeat have stolen the lime light and left the daddy of dance music out in the cold. Fortunately, techno`s recent anonymity hasn`t put Ueberschall and Time+Space off producing this banging sample CD.
Techno Identity is a two-CD collection, with audio on the first disc and Akai format samples on the second. The samples are mainly drum and percussion loops. As you would expect from a techno CD, the synth riffs and effects are rhythmic rather than melodic, and when mixed with the drum loops they sound really hard and tight. All samples are 130, 135, 138 or 140bpm.
The main drum loops are great, with lots of tough bottom end, and are excellent for fattening up your tunes. You`ll also find something useful in the many percussion loops Techno Identity offers; there are dozens of them, with plenty of variation. There is also a pretty generous dollop of bass loops to fill out your lower frequencies.
Elsewhere on the CD you get a range of patterns and loops for the mid-to-high end: filtered loops, pads, fx loops, hard and soft synth patterns... a ton of techno tools.
For the techno terrorist this sample CD is an awesome stash of dancefloor weaponry.

Ther'es not much news on the techno front these days, and that's just the reason why Uebershal launched their new title Techno Identity. The basic thought behind this CD set are contruction ktis, but not in an ordinary way.
The different and variated loops ar variated in a single CD track, but with this remark that the different loops are not sliced but recorded in one run.
On the seccond Cd you'll find more devloper kits, but with the adition of a akai partition that contains all individual sample used in all different tracks.
The contents remind me of producers such as Svenn Vath, Jeff Mills and many others. All kits are made with extremly caution and care. That same goes also for the production itself, a real clear stereo image but also a very good dynamic and transparant sound.
It's crazy to tell but Uebershal did it again, they hit the right spot with the right sounds in an briljant way. This set will let every's techno lover's heart pump faster
