Can I play Liquid like a real instrument?
Lösung:
Liquid is a collection of phrases, but no Synthesizer. It is not possible to e.g. "play a saxophone" from your keyboard.
Reason is that phrases recorded from a real saxophone player have a natural ambience and sound more real than synthesizers. All the experience and feeling of a pro saxophone player incorporates into the sound. With a saxophone synthesizer it would require painstaking and time consuming programming to get a comparably real sounding saxophone. And thanks to the Melodyne technology you can take a phrase not even close to what you actually need and move the notes freely to create the lick you had in mind in a minute.
Of course, you can't perform on stage and improvise freely with such a kind of instrument. LIS is more like a high-professional studio tool where natural sound and expression is of the highest importance. If you need a good virtual saxophone for performing live on stage, LIS is not what you should look for. But in every other case there is no better solution ;)
The same goes for all the other Liquid Instruments, of course.
